Oogie Boogie Bash! (day 3b)

After we all rested and took good naps, we got ourselves ready and headed to California Adventure for the Oogie Boogie Bash!!  The Halloween party didn't start until the evening, but we could get into the park early with the party tickets so we took full advantage of this extra time. Years ago when we took the boys to Disney World, we did the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and fully enjoyed everything about it so we were eager to see how this Halloween party would compare! It was just as much fun (maybe more?) and we were able to maximize our time riding rides, trick-or-treating, seeing characters and watching the parade.
Check out the crowds to enter the park!!! YIKES!
Headless Horseman
This little girl is super excited to ride The Little Mermaid ride!
Ivy may have been stealing the show with her love for Buzz Lightyear, but please look at my sweet Maclyn! She was just as thrilled to be getting her picture made with Buzz!
I really wasn't sure that Maclyn would know who these characters were...but she knew immediately!! This is Joy (and Sadness is below) from Inside Out!
Poor Sadness. She was having a hard time this evening, she dropped the pen and that caused her even more sadness...
Luckily, Maclyn knew just what would make Sadness less sad!!
And, of courses, Ivy was about some hugs, too!!
If Sadness could smile, I know she would!! This doesn't get much sweeter! (Our new walker was all about walking to Joy and Sadness!)

What do you do when your girls won't stop embracing the characters?! You smile for the photographer! (yes, I felt like a third-wheel!)
Marching with Toy Story Army Men on Pixar Pier (check out Finn's face! haha)
In line to get our Trick-or-Treat on at the first station!
Cars Land!! If anyone needs a reason to pick Disneyland over Disney World, this is it! We loved Radiator Springs!
Line Dancing Cars ride! Whodathunkit?! It was a blast and everyone enjoyed it! (well, not Ivy, she was too little to ride)
The pictures and the video (below) make the ride look boring...rest assured it was not! It was fun and funny!

Mater dressed as a vampire for Halloween
Lightening McQueen!!!
Cruz Ramirez! (and yes, the cars talked to you!)
Radiator Springs Racetrack - an awesome ride!
Holding my hair back...I don't take the best roller coaster pictures!
Waiting for the parade, practicing her walking skills (aka, Ivy no longer sits still!)
Here comes the Headless Horseman!
Jack and Sally!! (this is who is on our shirts, if you were wondering)
Haunted Mansion dancers
Part of the Haunted Mansion
Maleficent!
Oogie Boogie at one of the treat stations! (and he was a trip!)
walking towards Hollywood Land - the holographic effects were awesome!
Keagan had a full-on conversation with the Mad Hatter at another treat station!

Pixar Pier at night
As we were trick-or-treating we found Elsa and were delighted that we didn't have to wait long to meet her!!
Troopers!!!
A couple more troopers! By the point of this picture, the park was closed (11 pm) and we still had to walk back to our hotel!
On our way out we caught a glimpse of Pinocchio
This is what Shutting Down the Park looks like!
