Double Digits for Big Keag!

My first baby is TEN. As in two-whole-hands old. As in double digits. I'm going to sob into my glass of wine now. How is that possible?? How has time gone so fast?? I swear it was just yesterday that this boy made me a Mommy. Because of Covid-19 and house remodeling, we really couldn't celebrate him with a big party. But we did a little family party and it was fun. My Big Keag. Sometimes when I look at him I see a pre-teen and a child trying to grow up too fast, and other times I see my sweet baby boy.
He obliged my desire for a two-whole-hands picture.

Red's Donuts for his birthday breakfast!
Keagan asked for a Low Country Shrimp Boil for his birthday dinner!
He invited his best buddy Nick to come eat with us at Gamma and Poppy's
Time for presents!! (I ran out of boy bags so gave him pretty pretty princess bags. he wasn't thrilled)
Trying out his new hoverboard

A hunting cookie cake! (really, it is Rudolph without the red nose...I asked them to get creative...haha!)

Texas Vacation!

In early June we loaded up the kids for a road trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house! We actually arrived in Texas in a great mood, with no one screaming and a relatively easy drive! That hasn't happened in YEARS. We had been planning to drive to Texas for a while, then when "the Covid" hit and we were ear-deep in a whole house remodel we kind of forgot! Luckily, mom reminded me in advance, her vacation plans were post-poned ("the Covid" again) and she was able to be off work while we visited, and we had to move out that week anyways to have our floors refinished...sooooo it all worked out perfectly! And we spent a whole lot of time relaxing and just "being." It was a wonderful visit with family and it was hard to leave them.
Our first night in Texas! Grandma planned a little birthday party for Ivy and she was thrilled!
Bright and Early in the swimming pool! And Crew was alllllll about playing with the kids in the pool!
The girls loved an evening golf cart ride with Grandpa and Crew
Repeated jumping in....
She's supposed to be napping...  (this is from the baby monitor)
Two words: HOT MESS
My family's first restaurant experience since Covid-19 started
Boating on Lake Georgetown
She wants to get in. But she doesn't. So she'd rather just cry and be miserable....
She did it!! And chanted "be a brave girl" as she was lowered in to the lake to me. Haha! But she loved it!
Best Buddies!!
Grandma made cotton candy for the little kids...and dad made margaritas for the big kids!
Grandpa and Keagan in deep conversation. This is one of my fondest childhood memories with my dad. When we would sit and ponder the world...
Grandpa likes to talk. And he gets very animated. (but I love it!)
YAY! Aunt Hannah is here!!
SEESTERS
Matching swim suits! And night swimming! and....margaritas!
This was supposed to be a recreate of a picture from years ago...but without the awesome photo bomb!!
We got Mom in the pool!!
Aunt Hannah does the best hairdos!
This one refuses to have her hair fixed by Aunt Hannah
Aunt Hannah took a long nap on the couch, Ivy snuggled with her -awake- the entire time!!
a silent "cheese" face
Finn's imagination is remarkable!
And then there's this goof.
