So back in July my phone dropped in a cooler and, long story short, I had to do a factory reset so I lost nearly all of my pictures from summer. I was able to get some back (some that I posted on social media, some from my friend's phones, and some actually did save). But the most important pictures that I lost and could not ever get back are from Maclyn's 8th GOLDEN birthday party! She turned 8 on July 8th and requested a golden birthday party, so this is what we did. It was a small swim party at Kaycee's house with just our dear friends, but it was sweet. And everything, even her cake, was gold. Luckily I had one picture that I adore from her party posted on Instagram, so I pulled that off to make this post. I found one picture on Stacey's phone and then pulled a picture from each of her past birthdays.
Maclyn. You are an amazing young lady. You are the girl version of your brother Finley - both middle kids, both fierce and stubborn, both strong athletes with strong personalities. Mac, you have a huge heart with a tough exterior. You give me a run for my money multiple times a day, and your attitude and sass sometimes sends me over the edge. But I pray that as you grow up you will use these character traits to become a leader. Your soft peach skin that won't tan is so beautiful and your adorable freckles make you unique, and even though you don't like how thick your hair is I know that you will someday! You are tall like me, and you like it!! I wish I could have been like you when I was your age. You are a kind friend and the most loving girl to your Axel pup. Happy 8th birthday my surprise baby girl! I love you.
