Keagan has been moving around a bunch and he has hiccups all the time! One morning the hiccups were so violent that Josh could feel them from the outside! It was neat to share this with him, because it is very difficult to try and describe how his hiccups feel. As far as the nursery is concerned, it is finally coming together! I have managed to find a place for nearly everything and it is finally looking like a room a baby could use...will post pics once it's complete!

32 Weeks and "Baby" Wearing
It has been a month since I posted an official belly pic...but now that I have hit the 32 week mark I felt like it was necessary, as big changes have occurred in the bump department! I cannot believe that I only have 8 weeks to go until my due date!
One of the fun shower gifts we received was a baby sling from our friends Tassie and Jason. I "found" it this weekend in Keagan's nursery (until this weekend, it was a MESS) and put it on to learn some baby-wearing techniques. Josh really wanted to get in on the action, but since we don't have the baby yet, he used the next best thing: Oscar! Oscar is such a patient and willing participant, and if I am not mistaken he actually enjoyed being in the sling. He was even getting "sleepy eyes" while in the sling...hope it's as comforting to Keagan as it was to Oscar!

Gettin' Really Clean!
Baby Shower Numero 3 was in Lexington and was hosted by my BFF Lindsy. It was a couples shower and Josh and I had a blast hanging out with good friends who we haven't seen in a very long time. To top it all off, the shower was a dessert shower, which catered to my every dream with an incredible dessert table!! Lindsy left no decorating stone unturned: she had everything from a chronology of my belly growth in frames on her wall to a slide show of pictures from my pregnancy thus far. Little monkeys were everywhere! It was adorable and the entire evening was incredibly special to me and Josh. Thank you Lindsy and Tim for a wonderful baby shower to celebrate the birth of our baby boy!
It's all in the details! :)

Baby Appointment Update: I am now at 2 week appointments...CRAZY!! The most recent establishment is that I PASSED my gestational diabetes test (I know you were concerned seeing all the dessert at this last shower!). The first test showed I had elevated blood glucose levels, so I essentially failed it (but people tell me the first test has a high false-positive rate) and had to re-do the test with a three-hour glucose tolerance test. Luckily, my fasting and subsequent blood-glucose levels with the second test were normal so I do not have gestational diabetes! WHOO HOO...bring on the cake! :) We are neck deep in baby organizing, birthing classes, and just preparing for Keagan's arrival. The countdown has begun as we only have 9 more weeks left!! Look forward to a 32 week bump pic next weekend..you will be surprised at the growth in a month's time!

Forecast: Sunny with a second Shower
This past weekend, I flew to Texas for my second baby shower! It was a wonderful visit with my immediate family (everyone was actually home!) as well as a few of my extended family: my Grandma Gail, Aunt Angie, and Aunt Mickey. While the shower was small, it was very personal and very nice. Best of all, I got to spend Mother's Day weekend with my very own mommy, something I haven't been able to do since I was in high school. Thank you, mom, for an awesome baby shower and a very nice visit home. I love you!

Baby Shower Extravaganza
Yesterday was the first of several baby showers...and it was a wonderful way to start my "shower marathon"! This first shower was here at home and was given by my friends Stacey, Ashley, and Tassie. I had an awesome turnout of great friends and family, and truly felt the love from everyone! For those who were unable to make it to the shower, I appreciate your calls and love! It was nice to know you were there in spirit if not in person! And to the three wonderful girls who hosted the shower: it was incredible! Truly more than a girl could ever imagine! Y'all went above and beyond and I enjoyed every second of it! THANK YOU!
Ashely shows off the magnificent food table!!
