Will Walk For Food

Finn took his first steps on his 14-month birthday! He has been cruising furniture and standing independently for months, however no walking. Friday night, Stacey and Annie came over to hang out and we were just watching the kids play when I looked up and Finn was standing next to the ottoman. Nothing terribly new. But then he just up and took 5-6 steps! Stacey and I flipped out and then Finn fell to his bottom and was so excited he was turning circles on his knees and smiling big! It was great! So I tried to get it on video...but nope, he refused to do it again! Luckily I had a witness! He finally walked a bit when I held a Cheeto in front of him today! Silly boy... I guess once he realizes how much more efficient walking is versus crawling he will really be into everything!

Last Florida Post (and the people said AMEN)

Well, folks, this is it. The last Florida post...the last day on the beach...the last pool day...the last lazy day of our Summer. We had such a great time in Florida and it was hard to leave, hard to return back to reality. This vacation was fantastic and much-needed after the year we've had. It was nice to not worry about anyone being sick, any doctor's appointments...and just enjoy being together as a family. And when we returned home, we felt refreshed and able to get back to life with the upper hand. 

 

Keagan loved the waves this year! What a difference a year makes...he didn't want to be even on the sand last year!

Sno-cones on the beach!! And Keagan's favorite flavor is "blue"  :)

 

Seriously...where did my baby go? Keagan is all about jumping in...swimming...being independent!

Beach Boys (part 4)

I had huge plans to take a bunch of beach pictures of my family while we were in Destin. And had high hopes for good wall-worthy pics. Buuuuuuuuuuuut it just wasn't in the cards: Finley is still a non-walker and hated the sand, the lighting just wasn't great, we were running on only 15-20 minutes because we were trying to get to happy hour at a restaurant (priorities...), and my boys (x3) are just not that patient with me as I play and learn. That's OK, I got a few and played a little with my settings. And we made it to happy hour. Josh and I needed our half-priced beer/wine after the beach pictures! :)



Well, if you've made it this far with me you can rest tonight and know that there is only one more Florida post to go! I am about as happy as you are!

Toes in the Sand - Part 3

Third verse same as the first. (I warned you there were a LOT of beach pictures.)

 

We did this vacation right! We beached-it every single day except one, and that day we still went to the pool! We took a morning off from the beach and did the obligatory outlet mall shopping. But there aren't any pictures of that, just receipts and a void in our checking account...





 

Finn isn't screaming and his FEET ARE IN THE SAND!!!

Breakfast on the balcony! Isn't that what vacation was about? This might have been Keagan's favorite part of vacation.

Shark Boys! I don't matchy-matchy the boys a lot, but they are pretty cute in coordinating outfits!
