Happy 1st Birthday, Finley!

Well, my second baby is now a year old (and one day). My-oh-my how time flies. I don't love it. In fact, my feelings are hurt that time is going so fast. Just when I start to get into a rhythm something changes and I turn back to look and a year has gone by. How is it that I have TWO babies, who are really not babies any longer. I guess it's time for another (JUST KIDDING! I am not ready yet! Just sounded funny.)

Finley James is a year old. We started his birthday off with a balloon party in his crib, idea courtesy of Abby. I thought it would go over great, but when this was the reaction I kinda got a little nervous...
Then we put his brother in the crib with him and everyone was happy (for a moment anyways...Keagan was stealing balloons so he wasn't in there for long).

How it all began. It really, really seems just like yesterday this little spunky guy was born. He has kept me on my toes all his life. And I imagine that this is just the beginning!

And the Birthday Boy! ONE YEAR!

And big brother ran into the lens of my camera... sweet big brother!
No Kisses, mommy!
Birthday Party with Gama and Poppy. I love these pictures. I love the genuine happiness that these candids portray.
Scoping out the presents!!
Birthday cake from Cold Stone. It was delicious but Finn wanted nothing to do with it...
It's his party and he'll cry if he wants to! (and squealy cry he did)

Time for presents!!! I thought Finn wouldn't be interested, but he was...and got a little ticked that big brother was in HIS presents!

Happy Birthday, my spunky little Finley. I seriously cannot believe you are One. Please, sweet baby, stay little a little longer. I love you, son.

Summer Summer Summertime

It's Summer! OK, well it has been for over a month...but I feel like we have hardly had time to enjoy the summer weather. We have had the chance to go swimming a couple times and I got some sweet pictures of my little fishies. OK, well, Keagan is a fish...Finn is not. We are trying but he would much prefer to stay on dry ground. However, these pics are deceiving because he looks like he is having a blast. He did enjoy himself for brief moments...but the rest of the time he cried. Keagan loves the water and loved to practice jumping off the side. He even swims into the deep end when he has his floaties on his arms. It's pretty fun swimming with him! This is a compilation of pics from two different pool days.
