Kids, Kids, and more Kids!

The week after our adventures in Lexington and Louisville, Lindsy and her kids came for a visit. We had a great time, watching our kids play and enjoying each others company. It had been too long since we just hung out, and we did a lot of reminiscing about old times and talking about our mommy-roles and woes. We ate good and the kids played hard. We took them to the local splash park, which Keagan and Finn are less-than-interested in, but her kids had a blast! One day we set up our own splash park in the driveway and invited Stacey and Annie over for some fun. This went better for Keagan and Finn, but still neither are interested in being splashed in the face! And the evening before Lindsy left, we got together with college buddies and their kids. It was neat to see just how much everyone has changed...of course it has been 9 years!

 

At the Splash Park...Keagan really enjoyed hanging on the blanket with the babies over playing in the water. To his defense, the water is frigid! Maybe someday he will be interested in the splash park! Luckily Kennedy and Avery thought it was great!

On another hot day we decided to re-create the splash park in our driveway...it was much more enjoyable for my kids and I think Lindsy's kids had a great time, too! Annie joined in on the fun!

Our get-together with old buddies from college! The kids had a really good time playing together and we enjoyed catching up.

The morning that Lindsy left we realized we hadn't gotten an actual picture of all of our kids together or one of just us! So in a rush, we put all the kids together in order from oldest to youngest. We even got Oscar in on it because he was, after all, our fist baby! This first picture shows just how much Keagan enjoyed having two babies in his world. He loved Greyson so much and constantly asked where he was if Grey wasn't in our sight.

You can't really see it, but Grey has a mouthful of teeth! Finn only had 2 at the time of this picture. But he was working on getting his top two, and was downright miserable the whole time we had company. Poor guy; but he did get those top two teeth not long after everyone left!!
