Here are some pictures from Keagan's last day of school!
Finley also had a phenomenal year! He managed to get through the year with ZERO strikes!! (Strikes are part of the elementary school's behavior program. While there is a lot of positive reinforcement, strikes are also given for not following specific rules.) Anyone who knows Finley knows that zero strikes is a huge deal. We seriously do not know how he did this, because he is not necessarily an "easy" kid! But his teachers adored him and we are very thankful that Finley could hold it together and be a good boy during school!! Finley also got the "Chalk Award" for being a fantastic artist! Here are pictures from Finley's Kindergarten Promotion ceremony!
The next picture warms my heart. As the kids were receiving their promotion certificates they were asked to stop with their teacher and look at the audience for a picture. Well, Finn couldn't help himself. When he got to Ms. Denise he hugged her big! It threw her rhythm off a smidge but then she hugged him back big! The entire gym swooned with a loud "Awwwe!" And, yes, I cried during the above song and when I saw my boy walk across that stage (I actually realized the time will fly and I will be watching him graduate high school) and when his class was announced as the Graduating Class of 2031!
Ms. Denise's instructional aide, Mrs. Kia, had on the best shirt! She is retiring this year and as sad as we are that our girls won't get the chance to have her as a teacher (both boys had Mrs. Kia and Ms. Denise for kindergarten), we are super thrilled for her! And we are lucky because we will see her at church every Sunday!
Daddy was able to leave work to be at Finn's promotion, but unfortunately he had to get back to work before we could get pictures with the boys together.
This year the boys both were able to sign the "Wall of Fame" for earning 50+ good behavior tickets!
