Beach Days - Pictures!!

Regarding beach pictures, I have decided you win some and you lose some. This year would probably be a more of a loss. I don't always have willing participants and by the time we all get ready, everyone is hungry. And this year we were all a bit toasty-red! I had hoped to get Gamma in some pictures but she wasn't feeling very good that night and so wasn't up for pictures. Luckily Poppy didn't mind to snap a few of our family and even get in the picture with his grandkids! Looking back I wish I would have had someone take pictures with Poppy and all of us, but it was chaotic and everyone was melting down. So it just didn't happen.

Beach Days - FOOD!!!

Isn't vacationing also about yummy food?? Well, if not for you then you are not invited. Haha!! Yummy food is always a big part of our vacations and we put a lot of our decision powers into where/what we are going to eat each night!

McGuire's Irish Pub...the kids love the "money restaurant" and we always try and get someone to kiss the moose!! This time Keagan volunteered and Maclyn was volunteered, Finley chose a picture with a skeleton. Ha!

One night after supper, we went to Goofy Golf for some miniature golf fun! Maclyn didn't have the best time being strapped in the stroller, but she has learned that sometimes you gotta take one for the team. So she hung out pretty good while the rest of us "played" mini golf. Heaven help us when the boys realize that you can actually keep score!! At this point we just try to make sure the balls remain on the greens...

One of our newest favorites is the Back Porch. It is just a short walk down the beach from our condo and some day when I don't have to lug a baby (or babies...) we will walk to it! The views of the gulf are spectacular and the food is really good too. Check out my sweet sunkissed babes in the giant Adirondack chair!

One night we drove down to Seaside to meet up with friends Scott and Amber and their boys...the wait for the restaurant was a daunting 2+ hours so Amber and I and the kids walked around the little shops for a while. The boys got bored but found some chairs to hang out in...

One of our last nights in Destin we ended up back at McGuire's...and Keagan wanted to take pictures with my phone. So we took some funny selfies...

Beach Days - Sand Sun and the Sea

Even though Hurricane Nate met us down in Destin, we had a wonderful week of being beach bums. Lots of sand. Lots of sun. And lots of the sea. Afterall, isn't that what this vacation was about?! YES! I have compiled all of our beach pictures into one blog post for ease of just getting the blog done. And there are a bunch (duh). But there could be double if Keagan had not 100% deleted the pictures from the waterproof camera. I had prayed that maybe he didn't actually delete them, and that maybe he just hit a setting that "filed" them away somewhere...but nope, gone. Forever. I am a little ill over this because I recall some sweet pictures at the pool of Finn being a brave boy and jumping in and of Maclyn enjoying the crisp pool water and Keagan swimming under the water. But what's done is done, so what you get are cell phone pictures! At least I have these!

We love hanging out on the balcony in the early morning, watching the waves and the beach service set up the chairs and umbrellas.

After getting enough coffee in my system while sitting on the balcony I begin the task of sunscreening 3 little bodies, and then I get ready myself. And then we decide which toys and beach stuff we want to lug down to our little plot of sand for the day. It is a process! But once we are down at the beach, we are pretty much down at the beach all day long. We even got lucky again to get child #3 to nap on the beach! Of course, lots and lots of pictures of little Mac napping were made!

Maclyn was still not walking yet so she was carried around everywhere. And to be quite honest, it made life easier because we knew just where she was at all times! That, and the fact that she didn't love the sand, kept her caged on her blanket!

Nice calm waters meant Maclyn went swimming with Daddy! Look closely and you can see two little heads bobbing right in the middle of the picture with the parasail.

Sno-cones!!

Uncle Wesley sent the boys these awesome Blue Angels kites and they had a blast flying them! The pictures make the kites look like real airplanes flying above!

Oh how I long to go back!!! And there is no telling when we will be able to go!
