we need YOUR help!

Yes, You! And it concerns swine flu, kinda.

About a month ago, before the recent world happenings, Josh and I booked a vacation to Riviera Maya in Mexico. We have really been looking forward to it and were in denial for the longest time about the swine flu. Much to my disgust and disappointment, we have cancelled that trip. We were set to leave in about a week (May 11).

Well, thank God we had trip insurance and get a refund on the hotel. However, we don't get a refund on the airline tickets, so we now have a credit that we have to use within the year. Problem is that we can't find another place to go in the Caribbean that is reasonably priced in such short notice, and Josh is nervous about going out of the country (he doesn't want swine flu!).

Where do you come in?

We really want to go on vacation, and want something with a beach (that isn't plain-jane Destin, FL). I am soliciting your advice on specific hotels/resorts in the United States that we can go, relax, have a good time, and not catch swine flu. We have looked at Key West, So Cal, etc, but don't know where to go within these places. We really respect the opinions of our friends/family, so comment with your ideas! THANKS!!

  1. Okay, I've never been to Key West but always wanted to go. Check out the website for Casa Marina - just google it. I would go there!

  2. I love Cape Cod and Key West would be happy to talk to you about either (there is always the US Virgin Islands too!)
