Yes, I am obsessed with my kids. Yes, I think they are the most beautiful babies in the world. Isn't this how every momma should be? So, yes, I take tons and tons of pictures of them. I honestly can't get enough of them! This past weekend my friend Misty took some amazing pictures of the boys in her studio. I was under the impression I was going to help her take pics of her newborn and do a few of my boys! Buuuut, she ended up taking pics of everyone else's kids instead of her own! We did get some of sweet baby Ellison, but not nearly enough in my book. (Afterall, I think its OK to take umpteen pics of your kids, then post them on a blog, and brag brag brag about how beautiful they are!) Anywho, Finn was incredibly cooperative. Keagan, on the other hand, was not. He was rowdy, and hyper, and destructive. He was TWO. But she still got some fantastic shots of him. I haven't taken any "professional" pictures of him in a while (except the ones taken at our maternity shoot and Finn's newborn shoot) because he is just too busy to sit still for pics. But Misty did a great job and I love them! Here they are!!
And now I am going to make you laugh, really hard. Ever seen that Saturday Night Live skit with Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley where they are trying out to be Chippendales? After viewing the pics above, I had a flashback to this skit. It got me tickled. Well, when I showed Josh the pics later that night he said, without my prompting, that Finn looked like Chris Farley and Keagan looked like Patrick Swayze in that same skit. Great minds think alike....! Well here is the skit for your viewing pleasure:

OK, back to the pictures.
Hopefully my next blog post will have some content for you and not just be amazing pictures of my adorable children ;)

Photoshoot - 3months
A tradition I started with Keagan was to document on film his 3, 6, 9, 12 month milestones. I hired a photographer with Keagan and had intentions of using Julie (the awesome photographer who did our maternity shoot and Finn's newborn pics) for these milestone pictures but Josh suggested I give it a try myself since we really only need a few pictures and one for the frame in Finn's room. He said that if I didn't like the way they turned out, then we could hire someone. So, I gave it a shot, and here are my results! The adorable monogrammed jumper is from Abby (& baby Cayden) and the sweet boxers are from Lindsy (& baby Greyson).

And an out-take. Finn was d.o.n.e. by this point.

At-Your-Service (Happy Halloween!)
I love Halloween. I love candy. And I love dressing my kids up in costumes and watching them get the hang of this ultra-fun holiday! This year our boys were service men. Keagan was a fireman and Finn was a UPS man (shout out to Poppy!). They were most certainly the cutest little community helpers ever! Halloween in our house started nearly a full week before the actual holiday. Keagan participated in FOUR trick-or-treating events this year and I am afraid he is thinking that it is quite normal to ask people for candy. This morning the first thing he asked upon waking (as he has the past 4-5 mornings) was could we "go frick or freating?" To which I responded by diverting his attention elsewhere because I dreaded the meltdown that would occur with the obvious, "Nope because that holiday is over 'til next year." I have to admit, though, that he asks so plainly and so sweetly it makes me want to dress him up for a fifth time and let him go knock on doors! Anywho, here are pics from the past week of Halloween fun. (Oh, and his new favorite word is SPOOKY!...and he uses it pretty appropriately! But he was never spooked by any of the scary costumes we saw during the last week's adventures...makes me proud and I hope it remains that way!)
Event #1: Trick or Treating at school. Here's Keagan with his two favorite teachers, Ms. Vallery (Minnie) and Ms. Sheryl (Mickey)
Event #2: Boo at the Zoo in Evansville, IN. We went and visited Josh's parents this past weekend and took Keagan to this event in Evansville. It was a bit of a disappointment because we hardly saw any animals and stood in line for the majority of the time waiting for about 10 pieces of candy. Luckily Keagan didn't feel any of the disappointment that the adults felt, and Finn was a good boy in the stroller. Live and learn.
Event #3: Trunk or treating at church. There was a little "spooky animals" show prior to the trick-or-treating part and there were a few really cool animals! Keagan could care less about the animals (which surprised me) but was all about little Ariel with her red hair (he has never met this child until tonight!) and Mr. Kerry's iPhone games. Keagan would sit next to this little girl and then stare right at her for a good 10-15 seconds. Can we say AWKWARD!?! Good thing adults don't do that! I bet he was thinking that her hair color couldn't possibly be natural! We even saw her out the next night trick or treating and he did the same thing...he could not take his eyes off of her! Ladies Man...but we gotta work on tact so he doesn't weird the girls out by staring!!
Event #4: Neighborhood Trick-or-Treating. Our neighborhood is such that a golf-cart is a necessity to trick-or-treat. Kinda sad, but if you want to hit up more than 4 houses in an hours time, you gotta join the crowd with your golf cart. Keagan was in heaven...trick-or-treating AND golf cart riding. And Finn snuggled mommy in his carrier the whole night. He was a good boy and let his big brother enjoy a full night's worth of candy-getting!
Not Halloween related...I got some sweet pictures this weekend of the boys and their Poppy. And a very sweet video of Finley talking to Poppy. I think he is quite proud :)

Sweet little Annie...a strawberry!
Kelley and Chris watched Finn during the show and he snoozed most of the time (surprised me!)
Keagan and EJ sharing Mr. Kerry's lap...glad EJ didn't mind sharing his daddy with Keagan!
I'm telling you...he is the Ladies Man
Best buds coincidentally dressed as firemen!
Dana got some Finley lovin, too.
How I look the majority of the time...
I love love LOVE these next two pictures of my boys!
