Bodies of H20 - Summer 2025

Oh what a fun Summer we had! Never long enough and, now that the boys are basically in year-round sports, always intermingled with "running" kids places. But we took advantage of our boat and the cabin, Venture River and pools, and enjoyed our friends and our family as much as we could! Finn learned he loves to fish, Keagan decided he wants a jet ski, Ivy continued with her fearlessness, and Maclyn conqured some serious fears!

Happiness is being on our boat!

First dip of the season...it was a cold one!

teenagers - growing up too fast (Keagan, Maeci, Addison, Annie)

Maddox!

this is what life is about - simple fun

Annual Moryl and Owens lake picture - these kids are growing up too fast

never know what you are gonna see on Kentucky Lake

Finn's new favorite thing!

caught a fish but won't hold it (I get it!)

a quiet weeknight evening on Smith Bay

we were trying to figure out why this deer was acting so strange...

she was waiting on her baby!

Uncle Steve and Aunt Lynn came and stayed a couple nights after we went to the Blue Angels show in Tennessee - so we took them on Kentucky Lake

Venture River with Annie

Always fun to run into a friend!

Venture River was SO crowded that we had to park out in Timbuktu - so the Venture River shuttle came and got us! That was a fun treat on a super hot day!

ran into Lydia!

met Kaycee and her gang

Lydia and Liza

with Emery and her cousin Judd

Finn found his buddy Kam (and one of Kam's friends)

Lennon and Mac

Ivy being a little mama at the cabin

early morning front porch snuggles at the cabin

Kasen and Keagan

a bunch of teenagers

Keagan was manning the music

we took Kylee and her sister Addy (who is Finn's age) on the lake. It was Addy's first time on the lake and she had a great time! She even got to ride the jet ski.

electronics on the lake is generally a NOPE - but they had played and played and then snuggled up together to chill.

Monopoly!

A set of twins in our cabin neighborhood -

Maclyn loves to sing while the boat is underway - its really sweet

more Monopoly! (or a continued game?)

let's go knee board!

Maclyn decided she wanted to try it. We made her promise not to scream. If you know, you know.. .

concerned smile

STOP! She did not scream, and we reeled her back in. I told her I was so proud for just getting to this point. It is so hard to watch Mac miss out on things because she works herself up so much.

Finn's turn!

Now Keagan

Maclyn saw everyone was having such a good time that she decided to give it one more Go. I am so proud of her for trying again!

and she got up!!! She knee boarded for a few minutes then asked to stop - but this was HUGE!

This chid is completely the opposite - she is fearless.

Keagan and a bunch of girls riding across Kentucky Lake in a fancy airboat - I had to swallow my over-protective mom nature and let him be a teenager.

He had a great time and came back alive and well

Cooper and Keagan

Ivy learning to drive the golf cart

Maclyn learning to drive the golf cart

Pool Party at Stacey's!

for all the planning and set up this took, Finn only stayed out for about 10 minutes

Maclyn conquering another fear!

The Moryls had the same idea!

Maclyn being brave!

watch out - these two are daredevils

Josh decided to drive through some geese

Jeff was a tad stressed - his motor quit just as they pulled up near us on the lake

Maegan was a bit worried too..

it's gonna be ok!

is it gonna be OK? There's storms all around us...

Tying the Moryl's boat up to tow them back in - a nearly 2 hour adventure (and dodged storms the whole way)

pit stop...

gotta take advantage of a potty break when you can

yikes!

a little rain never hurt anyone

the boys do not agree

girls are definitely smarter

Dad and Ivy matching at Venture River

Ivy is sooo excited to be barely tall enough to ride the big slide!

have I mentioned that she is fearless?!

these kids are hilarious and fun: Lyla, Maeci, and Keagan

too cool.

High Fives with hands and feet

supper out at Buzzard Rock (and Finn's birthday dinner)

the sky was gorgeous on our boat ride home after supper

Case Beck and Keagan at Venture River

Keagan and Kylee

the girls with Emery

Finn and Asher

seeing Coach Boone at Venture River was funny (he is the girls high school soccer coach - Kylee's coach!)

Last boating day of the season. Womp Womb. But the kids got along so well! (trust me  - it isn't always like this)

til next summer... (Keagan was probably at soccer practice?)
