Fall Soccer

Well, having a third baby doesn't mean I get to take it easy. Case in point: soccer season started in September and both boys were signed up. The only thing that made my life easier is that I did not sign them up for baseball, too. Ha. My Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays were filled with soccer, and sweet Mac had no choice but to come along. Because I had my hands seriously full I only brought my camera to the first and last games for both the boys.

Finley's soccer season was, well, frustrating. Josh and I told him over and over again that we didn't care if he scored goals, we just wanted him to try. He did not try. He didn't even care. He didn't want to be there. But when I signed Keagan up he said he wanted to play, too. So I signed him up. And, by-golly, we were not quitting mid-season. He toughed it out and was thrilled when the season ended. So were we. I did get some good pictures of Finley and he looks like he is trying really hard in them. Don't be deceived.

Keagan, on the other hand, is my little athlete. He isn't the best scorer on his team but he sure does help them out! He tries really hard and loves to play. He and his team are super rough and it is all I can do to not run out on the field when one of the boys (or my boy) gets hurt! The fun part about Keagan's team is that they are starting to get it, and the boys keep score (our boys only lost 1 game all season). I noticed that this is the first year the boys on Keagan's team don't clump around the ball. They actually play as a team and it is so much fun to watch!

Funny story. During Keagan's game, Maeci and her family walked by on their way to their game. Keagan literally stopped playing and started to go towards Maeci for a hug. Josh and I started yelling at him that he was playing soccer and to get his head in the game. It caused a lot of laughter from other parents. Head shakes from mom and dad. Whew, that boy! Lucky for him, he was able to get a picture with Maeci before her game started. These two buddies...
