Post-Hurricane / Orange Beach Post 4

Given the knowledge that we were having to be evacuated from our vacation spot I never would have dreamed we would be able to salvage what was left of our trip, or ever enjoy it more. But we did!! Sometimes when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. And we sure did that. (Now, don't think we didn't get the gravity of what Hurricane Michael did to the Florida coast...we were glued to the television when we were in the condo. It was devastating, and we were very sad about it all.) But we were fortunate to be able to continue our much needed vacation and for that I am very thankful.

I love some good morning coffee on the balcony, and it is even more fun when joined by my babies.

The beach was beautiful, there were seashells everywhere, there was no red tide so we could all breathe easier, and there was no worry. It was wonderful. And to make it all even better, both girls napped great on the beach, and at the same time! Maclyn even ASKED to lay down and take a nap. Fantabulous!!!!!!

The following beach pictures are from the last two days on the beach, and I just threw them on this post in no particular order.

Ivy's first dip in the ocean!! She didn't really care that much.

On the day we had to drive home we promised the kids we would take them to a Build A Bear we saw when we were out to supper one night. The boys had money burning a hole in their pockets so we thought this would be a good souvenir for them to remember this adventurous vacation! They had a blast making their new furry friends and the lady that helped them out was hilarious!

(but first, matchy-matchy little girls on the balcony before we said goodbye to the beach)

Say hello to Pikachu, Pinkie, and Fluffy Wuzzy Owens. (haha)
