Here we go!! Spring soccer season in the Owens house means zero free time, all the games, overlapping schedules, lots of pictures, and happy kids. Our four footballers keep us on our toes and we are often exhausted and stretched thin (in more ways than one) but our kids are thriving and happy and healthy! And learning so many valuable lessons that come from team sports.
Keagan - played for South Marshall Middle School and Dynamo JV Club (#22 for both teams)
Finn - played for South Marshall Middle and Kentucky Elite Club (#27 for both teams)

silly sisters during one of the boys' games
riding the pine with the Turmero twins (they were guest playing with Keagan's team and when they all played for PVS the twins NEVER sat on the bench so I thought this was hilarious that Keagan and the twins were together. Keagan also gave them both a hard time about it!)
three of my soccer players all together in Memphis!
Maclyn's team won GOLD!

a little bitty bit of rain - and all the ducklings huddle under the umbrella!
A HUGE win against Calloway County Middle on their home field (they beat us on our home field in the first game of the season) - up next is the District Tournament where SMMS plays Calloway AGAIN on Calloway's home field!
Mrs. Kelly is a favorite teacher and came to see the boys play and she got to see a great game!
ANOTHER win against Calloway!!! Onto the District Tournament championship game! But first - a huge celebration for our boys.

From their very first Dynamo season!
The game went into 2 overtimes, PK shoot-out, then a sudden death PK shoot out. This Goalie is awesome!
When we go to tournaments we always try to go swimming!
First game of the Regional Tournament
when you run into your best friends (who are girls soccer player mamas), you get a picture! The girls played in the Regional Championship game as well
Keagan starting in the SMMS vs NMMS Regional Championship game
A hard-fought game but South came up short this night and took the Second Place trophy. What an awesome season!
Jaclyn and Ivy - opponents here but friends any other time.
When you're cold and tired and don't want to be at another soccer game - you lay down on the sidelines. This is Finn's specialty.
Keagan reffing his sisters games. Making money, getting yelled at by opposing team's parents. All in a day's work. Mama may or may not have to have been held back to keep from throat punching a dad who ran onto the field angry at my kid.
Mac was chosen as a captain of her team for the game.
Fun in between games
Finn's last soccer tournament of the season in Clarksville
a sweet little teammate high five action
Believe it or not - some people don't get this!
pink wrist band tape for their mamas because it was Mother's Day
