2nd Graders take on Discovery Park!

At the end of the year, BES second graders took a field trip to Discovery Park of America in Union City, TN. Josh and I were lucky enough to be able to chaperone a group of kids and we had a blast watching Keagan interact with his friends and classmates!

Here is our group! Our take-away from this day is neither Josh nor I can fathom how teachers handle it day-in and day-out! Four kids to the two of us was not easy!

These three goofballs got to ride home with their parents after the fieldtrip!  Maeci, Keagan, and Charlee...big buddies. It was a loud, stinky ride home. Josh and I sat right in front of them and there were multiple occasions where I would turn my head and have FEET in my face! ICK.

Children's Tree 2019

My favorite tree in the whole wide world is our beautiful Japanese cherry blossom. It is a beautiful tree, but it is my favorite because I have watched it grow along with my children. And I have decided that if we ever move, the tree moves with us!

2019 Children's Tree pictures...man these kids are growing!!

Here is the annual lookback...starting in 2010 with sweet Keagan's birth. There are a couple of years that I either missed or cannot find the picture...

Easter fun

Easter is always such a fulfilling holiday, both in the reason why we celebrate (He is Risen!) as well as all the fun that surrounds and leads up to it. I have always loved Easter Sunday, it is a reawakening of sorts and the spring colors and joyful nature of everyone just makes my heart happy. Dressing up my family in coordinating frocks also thrills me! I always love to look back at pictures and think that we clean up pretty nicely! Of course, it is also special to me to watch my children grow closer to the Lord as they learn the reason why we celebrate Easter.

...

On our way to some soccer games in Murray, Josh called and told us to swing on by Walgreens because the Easter bunny had hopped on in! So we did; and much to the big boys chagrin I forced them to take pictures with the bunny! Keagan was the most embarrassed, but when I went back to look at the pictures I found some hilarious selfies of him with E.B.! I guess they became buddies after all.

Who doesn't love dying Easter eggs?!! And no, those aren't black eggs. Our purple just didn't turn out like it usually does!

Easter Egg Hunt #1 at Maeci's church!

Big buddies!! Charlee, Maddox, Finn, Keagan, Maeci, and Maclyn.

Easter Egg Hunt #2 at our church! And it was a glow hunt so there are actually no pictures of my kids picking up eggs! Whoops.

Ivy and Ledger hanging out while their bigger siblings hunt for eggs!

Owens and Graham families! Last year Tera and I took a similar picture at an egg hunt, except the babies were in our bellies and the husbands were working!

Easter morn. Who doesn't love some good Easter baskets?! The boys always get up and get dressed independently for church, so they did on Easter as well. They weren't too thrilled when I made them change into their fancy clothes!

For Easter lunch we went down to Murray and had a delicious meal with Josh's family at his Aunt Janice's house.

Boy cousins!

After Easter, Finley's class egg hunt took place (which was postponed due to rain) and I happened to be at the school helping with Keagan's class car wash so I was at the right place at the right time and able to watch!
