Three Peas in a Pod - Discovery Park

A few weekends back we took the boys out to Discovery Park and brought along some friends who had never been. Keagan and Finn had a blast sharing the "scovery" park with Reagan.

 My boys LOVE the airplanes! I think Reagan was "just ok" with them..but she was a good sport!

 Getting the kiddos to stand for a picture was impossible. IM.POSSIBLE.

The weekend we were there was "Kite Weekend" so we brought some kites to fly. Unfortunately there was little to no wind so getting the kites actually up in the air was a chore! But Josh was able to get his kite flying..and then Billy got his kite going. Briefly. Then the wind died!

 Several resident park ducks had babies with them so it was really neat for the kids to get to see the baby ducks up close and personal!

Finally, and definitely NOT least in Keagan's opinion, was the train! We hadn't been able to see it on any of our previous trips to Discovery Park, so this was a first. It was the end of our adventure and while the boys were thrilled to be seeing trains I think poor Reagan was over hanging with the boys and their planes, trains, and automobiles! But she hung in there...and the three kiddos hung out together the whole afternoon!

Soccer Super Saturday

Keagan's third season of soccer wrapped up a couple of weeks ago with two games on one Saturday ("super Saturday"). Keagan has really not been super interested in soccer this season, which has been frustrating during practices and games. But the first game of Super Saturday, Keagan played great! It's almost like the entire season's practices finally clicked in Keagan's mind. And he was a team player, he was aggressive, he paid attention, and he MADE A GOAL! :) I would love for him to play again in the fall, but he says he wants to play baseball. So we will see.

Our first game Keagan got to play against his buddy EJ. I figured they would just chit-chat on the field, but they stole the ball from each other...and Keagan impressed me with his stealing the ball back from his buddy then scoring a goal!

 After the games, Coach Brad had a medal for the boys. And a gift certificate. I think this picture is sweet because Keagan is obviously very proud of his goodies...and is "reading" his gift certificate. We are very thankful for Coach Brad. He is super patient with these 4-5 year old little boys, and has really taught them so much about soccer.

I was flattered to be asked to take the team soccer pictures this year! I enjoyed taking them and then making a collage for all the boys. 

I really have enjoyed watching Keagan bloom into a little soccer player (even if he still dances more than he plays while out on the field). I hope that he will play again, but I am excited to see his next adventure!


Oh, and before I sign off. I just had to share how much he's grown in the last year with soccer. It's super sweet.
