Pre-Halloween Family Fun

The fall season is always super busy. Starting school and all the things, soccer in absolute full swing (and this season x4 kids), work, life - life - life. We barely have a chance to breath let alone have family time. We got a rare Saturday evening with absolutely nothing going on and it just so happened to be the weekend right before Halloween...so we took advantage and had a family night of pumpkin carving and watching Hocus Pocus 2. Before the festivities took off, I painted the girls nails to look like my own for Halloween. Then made the kids a charcuterie boards of the Hocus pocus witches and they absolutely loved that. Then we carved pumpkins and for the first time it was actually an easy feat! The kids designed and carved their own (with supervision and assist as needed) and we really think they did a pretty fantastic job! And then ended the evening with the new Hocus pocus 2 movie. It was super cute (review: not as cute as the first, but our family still enjoyed it) and the night was fun. It felt good to be able to actually just hang out at the house, nothing hanging over our heads and no rush to be somewhere.

not at all a Pinterest fail!
