Maclyn - Fall 2025 Soccer

Maclyn's fall soccer season was a busy one - with four (actually 5 - but we missed one for a family adventure) tournaments! That's a bit extreme for 9 year olds, but no one asked me. We went with it. To say I am glad this season of soccer is over is an understatement. Poor Maclyn did not have much growth this season, lost a ton of confidence, and received little to no coaching from her "coach." It was a tough season for my girl. She persevered (and is still playing...) and learned some tough lessons and grew in her character. It is difficult to not be a "favorite" of your coach, but she learned to work through it. And so did I. With lots of tears and prayer. Luckily, Maclyn was still young enough to not let it hinder her love of the game too much. We are still doing damage control and trying to regain confidence this year (new coach), but she still loves soccer so much and gets very upset when I suggest trying another sport!

Early in the season and Finn is already over it.

sweet hugs from a friend brought tears - this was when my super sensitive little girl couldn't be strong anymore after a really tough game experience when her coach refused to put her in for any length of time to even make a mistake

smiling through sadness - this season's emotions summed up in one picture - so many life lessons learned
